icemelt is mixed media sonification of climate data, exhibited at Princeton University on january 11, 2020 & at National Sawdust in Brookly on february 22, 2020, under mentorship from Laurie Anderson and Arto Lindsay. it draws from personal, interpersonal, and global sources to investigate how we relate to ice on a variety of scales. data of arctic sea ice extent was sonified to transform the impersonal nature of data into an embodied experience. the sounds comprising icemelt are spatialized for a variety of speaker setups.
